A.J. Green signs 4-year extension with Bengals

by Matt Barbato | Fri, Sep 11th 1:33pm EDT

According to Jim Owczarski, Cincinnati Bengals wideout A.J. Green has agreed to a four-year, $60-million deal with the team. This means Green will make $70 million over the next five years. (Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer )

Fantasy Impact:

This is great news for both sides, as Green watched Julio Jones, a receiver of similar caliber, score a five-year, $71.25 million extension from the Atlanta Falcons at the end of August. Green is still regarded as a low-end WR1, but has something to prove after an injury riddled 2014 season limited him to just 69 catches, 1,041 yards and six touchdowns. At the very least, the extension will not serve as a distraction during the regular season. Green is a must start in an enticing matchup against the Oakland Raiders Week 1.
