Jimmy Graham scores in Seahawks debut

by Adam Inman | Saints Correspondent | Sun, Sep 13th 6:02pm EDT

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham accounted for Russell Wilson's lone passing touchdown on Sunday as the Seattle Seahawks fell to the St. Louis Rams 34-31 in overtime. The Rams did a fantastic job pushing around Seattle's less than stellar offensive line causing Wilson to spend the majority of his afternoon breaking the pocket. Graham only saw six targets on the day, but was the primary read on several key conversions. The tight end finished the game with 6 catches for 51 yards and a score.

Fantasy Impact:

Jimmy Graham had a very solid debut performance considering how ineffective Seattle's offense was for stretches of Sunday's game. The entire offense should have an easier time over the next two weeks as they square off against Green Bay and Chicago, both teams that have significant questions on the defensive side of the ball. Continue to view Graham as a top three option at the tight end position, but understand that the lack of volume is going to cap his ceiling.
