Lance Dunbar shines in the passing game

by John Muguerza | Mon, Sep 14th 12:02pm EDT

Even without a single carry in the run game Lance Dunbar made his presence felt against the Giants on Sunday night. Dunbar lead all Dallas pass catchers, catching 8-of-8 targets for 70 yards but couldn't hall in a TD. (Dallascowboys.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Lance Dunbar was very impressive in the passing game, but didn't receive a single carry limiting his potential as an RB since he is playing behind Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden for overall touches. However Dunbar does have an established role for the Cowboys as he was the RB on the field during the Cowboys game winning drive against the Giants. But unless Dallas is playing from behind or gets into a shootout, Dunbar is probably best left on the bench in most leagues. Nevertheless, Dunbar could be a sneaky play next week as the Cowboys have lost star WR Dez Bryant to a fractured foot, and will have to travel to Philadelphia to take on the high scoring Eagles.
