Alfred Morris paces Washington backfield in victory

by Micah Cedergren | Sun, Oct 4th 7:11pm EDT

Alfred Morris led the Washington backfield with 17 carries for 62 yards on Sunday, adding two catches for just four yards.

Fantasy Impact:

It was a rough day for the Washington rushing attack, though Morris found a way to finish with a mediocre stat line. On the Redskins final drive that resulted in the go-ahead TD, Morris gained 38 yards on 4 carries, prior to that Morris had averaged just 1.8 yards per carry. He remains the lead back in the offense, but with three mouths to feed in this backfield his upside is severely limited. I'd consider him a flex option at best when the Redskins head to Atlanta for a week 5 matchup with the Falcons.
