Arian Foster gets 11 touches, fumbles in 2015 debut

by Mike Werner | Mon, Oct 5th 1:36am EDT

Arian Foster rushed eight times for 10 yards, and caught 3-of-5 targets for 25 yards in his first taste of action in 2015.

Fantasy Impact:

The Texans were absolutely obliterated against Devonta Freeman and the Falcons, losing by a score of 48-21. Foster looked healthy overall, getting the start and mixing in with Alfred Blue who accrued six touches compared to Foster's 11. It was nice to see the uber-talented Foster on the field, however, his second quarter fumble that occurred after he ran into his own offensive linemen, was picked up by Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant, who proceeded to take it to the house, and essentially put the game out of reach early with a 21-0 lead. With the game script out of control, the Texans let Chris Polk absorb most of the work, as there was no reason to risk a setback by giving Foster more touches in a meaningless situation. The good news is that Foster came out of this bloodbath healthy, and should continue to increase his workload as time goes on. The Texans welcome the Colts on Thursday Night Football in Week 5, in what will be the most important game to date for one of the many struggling teams in the AFC South. The Colts just gave up 105 rushing yards to T.J. Yeldon, and prior to Week 4 had given up the 3rd-most rushing touchdowns in the league. Foster is a top-10 RB1 anytime he's healthy and active.
