Miami Dolphins fire defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle

by Reginald James | Dolphins Correspondent | Thu, Oct 8th 3:47pm EDT

The Dolphins have fired Kevin Coyle. The move was expected after the team fired head coach Joe Philbin. Former defensive backs coach, Lou Anarumo, is the new defensive coordinator. Going into the game Sunday against the Jets, the Dolphins had the fewest knock-downs and hurries in the NFL. The team has only three interceptions on the year as well. They are last in run defense giving up 160.5 yards per game (Chris Ivory gained 166 yards on Sunday), and 30th in the NFL in total defense giving up 399.5 yards per game. (Sun Sentinel)

Fantasy Impact:

In four weeks Miami has only mustered one sack. Neither Ndamukong Suh nor Cameron Wake were responsible it. The defense only offers IDP options at this point: Reshad Jones being the top of a short list. Jelani Jenkins and Koa Misi are linebacker candidates. D/ST owners should have abandoned this unit already.
