Brian Hoyer has a solid showing in relief for the Texans

by Alex Haeussler | Thu, Oct 8th 11:37pm EDT

Ryan Mallett started the game but was forced out due to a hit in the ribs in the second quarter. It appeared as though Mallett only had the wind knocked out of him, but Hoyer made the best of his opportunity. He went 24-for-31 for 312 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a costly interception to seal the Texans fate.

Fantasy Impact:

Hoyer looked much better than Mallett against the Colts. He was having a solid game until his last throw where he threw an ugly interception to end the Texans hopes of beating the Colts. No matter who starts at quarterback going forward they will not be a recommended option for fantasy owners as this Texans offense lacks consistency and fire power.
