Russell Wilson inconsistent in Seahawks victory

by Julius Bzozowski | Steelers Correspondent | Fri, Oct 23rd 12:06am EDT

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson started the game well, but ended up with poor statistics in Thursday's 20-3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Wilson completed 18 of his 24 attempted passes for 235 yards, and ran for 20 more yards on seven carries. He threw one touchdown, was intercepted twice, and was sacked five times. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Overall, this was not a great offensive performance for the team. After putting up 17 points in the first half, they managed only three points in the second half. Wilson's only touchdown was a thing of beauty, as he hit Tyler Lockett deep for a 43 yard score. However, he threw an interception in the end-zone near the end of the first half and threw another one on Seattle's second drive of the second-half. Wilson's team was able to get the win, but that was because of the Seahawks defense. If you can find another quarterback with a juicy matchup, Russell Wilson may not be a guaranteed lock to start at QB for your fantasy team.
