Antonio Gates has MCL sprain

After missing practice all week, sources say that Antonio Gates has an MCL sprain. He will be a game-time decision. (Michael Gehlken on Twitter)

Gates owners will want a backup ready to plug in. He's been solid since returning from his four game suspension to start the season, but this is his first time dealing with this injury. The veteran and the team may choose to be cautious and sit him as he has had various injury plagued season in his career. In the event he does miss the game, Ladarius Green is a more than capable backup.
