Against the 49ers, Tavon Austin showed why he was the 8th overall pick in the 2013 draft. He caught 4 receptions on 7 targets for a total of 98 yards and 1 TD, which came on a 66 yarder in the fourth quarter. He also chipped in 21 yards on 3 rushing attempts and had a TD rushing as well. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Yes, Tavon Austin again showcased his all-around talent and game breaking speed by recording a total of 21.90 points in standard fantasy leagues. He had 23.60 standard fantasy points in Week 4 against Arizona but hasn't gone over double digits again until today. Austin is one of the few starting WRs in the NFL who are dynamic enough to score through the air or on the ground but consistency remains his issue. Play him with risk but he is definitely someone to keep as a reverse in-case he suddenly begins to produce consistently.
