Joe Flacco quietly productive against Chargers

by Aaron Martinuzzi | Colts Correspondent | Sun, Nov 1st 6:28pm EST

Ravens' QB Joe Flacco completed 25 of 37 pass attempts against the San Diego Chargers for 319 yards and one touchdown, adding another score on the ground. He also avoided any turnovers for just the second time this year.

Fantasy Impact:

Flacco had a nice day today, making the most of his 37 attempts without falling into any of the bad decisions that often accompany that much volume. Fantasy owners were pleasantly surprised by his adding a rushing touchdown, as well, although the real story is the loss of his top target, WR Steve Smith, Sr. for the season to a torn Achilles tendon. The rest of Baltimore's receiving corps has been average at best, and while RB Justin Forsett is a capable target out of the backfield he's certainly no Matt Forte or Jamaal Charles. Watch Flacco's matchups closely from here on out, as his fantasy production will depend primarily on a collection of unproven wide receivers and tight ends.
