Matt Jones paces Redskins backfield in loss to Patriots

by Micah Cedergren | Sun, Nov 8th 5:38pm EST

Matt Jones led Washington with 11 carries for just 27 yards. He caught two passes for 17 yards, while dropping a third target. He also lost a fumble, his third of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

If you had to pick a Redskins running back to own, Jones would be the one to pick, though he has averaged just 2.3 yards per carry over the last four games. Game flow doesn't dictate his usage as it does for fellow back Alfred Morris, keeping him on the field more frequently. There is also a chance that at some point the Redskins give the starting nod to Jones in preparation for next year, as Morris is a free-agent at the end of the season.
