Darren Sproles plays same role despite Mathews' absence

Darren Sproles had only 9 total touches in the blowout loss against the Buccaneers, despite the theory that he might have more work with fellow running back Ryan Mathews out with a concussion. He was able to add a touchdown to his stat line. (NFL.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Sproles has been hit or miss, but this was his chance to get going. Yet, it seems that Chip Kelly has a true pitch count on arguably the most electric portion of his offense. Until that is lifted, it is hard to rely on Sproles as more than a hail-mary play.
