Rob Gronkowski dealing with knee and back injuries

by John Aubin | Thu, Jan 14th 10:01pm EST

The Patriots have updated their Thursday injury report, stating that Rob Gronkowski has both knee and back injuries, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports. Gronkowski has been marked on the team's injury report with a knee issue that caused him to miss Thursday's practice, but the Patriots have added a new injury designation for the star tight end as well. It's unknown at this point just how severe Gronkowski's back injury is, but more information figures to be released following Friday's practice. (Mike Reiss on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The fact that Gronkowski is practicing despite these injuries is a good sign he will play on Saturday in the Divisional Round matchup against the Chiefs. If he is out there, expect him to be targeted often.
