Aaron Rodgers has minor knee surgery

by Anthony Cervino | Jets Correspondent | Sat, Jan 30th 6:15am EST

According to Jason Wilde and Rob Demovsky, Aaron Rodgers underwent minor arthroscopic knee surgery after Green Bay's playoff loss to Arizona earlier in the month. Rodgers told ESPN that he's "doing well" and "recovering on schedule." (Jason Wilde via Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Although the Packers advanced to the Divisional round of the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers is coming off a down season statistically for the usually uber productive quarterback. Rodgers played in all 16 games in 2015 but threw for nearly 500 fewer yards and seven less touchdowns than the year prior. The lull in numbers could be accredited to the weapons surrounding the quarterback being hampered by injury, including the loss of Jordy Nelson for the entire year due to a torn ACL suffered in the preseason. The surgery on Rodgers is said to be minor, and his recovery should not affect his participation in Green Bay's offseason program.
