Chargers want to retain Antonio Gates in 2016

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the San Diego Chargers want Antonio Gates back for the 2016 season. Gates will turn 36 in June and has made no indication that he is ready to retire as of yet. (Michael Gehlken via The San Diego Union-Tribune)

If Antonio Gates plays in 2016, it will be in San Diego. The veteran tight end has made it known that he wants to retire as a Charger and thinks that he can still be a productive player in the NFL. Despite his age, Gates is still a low-end TE1/TE2 in the fantasy football world.
