Jordan Reed enters last season of rookie contract

As a rookie, Jordan Reed signed a 4 year, $2,760,000 contract with the Washington Redskins. (Spotrac.com)

Fantasy Impact:

After his breakout season in 2015 that saw him post 87/952/11 numbers, Washington may look to extend him beyond 2016, the year the contract expires. If he goes into the season without a new deal, Reed may look to put up "pay-me" numbers in 2016, which will bode well for fantasy owners. Washington may want to see him stay healthy and productive one more season before offering up big money for the tight end. They may also want to see what Niles Paul will do upon his return from injury. Either way, he should be productive in 2016, and wherever he ends up in 2017.
