Eagles release WR Riley Cooper
by Brian Riedmiller | Mon, Feb 8th 1:57pm EST
The Philadelphia Eagles have released WR Riley Cooper. Cooper was entering year three of a five year, $22.5M contract that was signed back in 2014. He had 21 catches for 327 yards and two touchdowns this season. (Philadelphia Eagles on Facebook)
Fantasy Impact:
Cooper's distraction of his remarks a few years ago was a heavier weight than his contributions to the team, not to mention his outrageous $4.5M cap number next season. This is undoubtedly the first of a line of moves for the Eagles in rebuilding from the "Philadelphia Headache" Chip Kelly.
