Danny Amendola may need to rework his deal

by John Aubin | Fri, Apr 15th 8:47am EDT

Danny Amendola is scheduled to earn $5 million in base salary and count $6.8 million on the salary cap, and it is assumed that the team won't keep him around at those numbers. Last year, Amendola took a significant pay cut down to a base salary of $1.5 million and outperformed it. It's hard to imagine that type of cut again, so one wonders if $3 million may be a potential compromise for a base salary if the team asks for a reduction. (ESPN Boston)

Fantasy Impact:

In 14 games last season, Danny Amendola finished with 65 catches for 648 yards and three TDs. He will be an insurance policy behind Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan. The health of those two players will determine the targets he will get in 2016. The fact that he is deep on the depth chart will mean he will not be fantasy relevant this upcoming season.
