Colin Kaepernick trade still looming as draft approaches

San Francisco 49ers GM Trent Baalke told ESPN's Bob Holtzman that "it's possible" that a trade involving Colin Kaepernick could still come to fruition "this week" despite talks with the Denver Broncos remaining at a standstill. (Adam Schefter on Twitter )

As we approach the NFL Draft, Kaepernick's name is coming up in rumors to be on his way out of San Francisco. He has been linked to the Broncos, but both sides are at a standstill due to the quarterback's hefty contract. If Kaepenick remains with the 49ers, he will likely battle favorite, Blaine Gabbert for the starting job in 2016. The Broncos have been pursuing Kaepernick and could make one last push to acquire him during the NFL Draft.
