The Los Angeles Rams and WR Tavon Austin agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension worth $42 million that includes $30 million in guaranteed money. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Austin is Los Angeles' playmaker at the wide receiver position who is also a threat as a rusher on gadget plays. The four-year veteran had his best year as a pro in 2015 catching 52 passes for 473 yards and five touchdowns adding another 434 yards and four scores on the ground. In the upcoming fantasy football campaign, Austin should be viewed as a low-end WR2/WR3 who has great upside. He is the No. 1 wideout on a team that invested the first overall pick in the draft on Jared Goff and have Case Keenum in place as their interim starter who is fighting to keep his job. Austin is a dual-threat talent who is poised to explode in 2016 and is a tremendous value at his WR45 positional ADP.
