The Patriot's WR caught one pass for nine yards in Friday's preseason game against the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact: Julian Edelman remains solidly ahead of Amendola in the slot, so it's going to be tough for him to find playing time in the Patriot's normal two-wide sets. We will continue to monitor the situation, but without any significant presence on the field, his fantasy-relevancy is going to be limited.

Amendola will continue to have a prominent role for the Patriots, which gives him the potential for some good performances, but when Rob Gronkowski (ACL) is healthy and Edelman is playing well, Amendola will lag behind in production, especially when you factor in Shane Vereen and the young receivers in Aaron Dobson, Brandon LaFell and Kenbrell Thompkins. Amendola is a late-round flier in standard leagues and a No. 4 receiver in PPR formats.
