Da'Rick Rogers
WR -
2024 Outlook
Da'Rick Rogers has been cut by the Colts following his arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Fantasy Impact
This news isn't terribly impactful from a fantasy perspective as Rogers has been a healthy scratch from all four games so far thanks to the Colts depth at WR. Rogers has a history of substance abuse problems, dating back to his college career with Tennessee. The Colts will be fine moving forward, let's just hope this move gets Rogers on the right track towards making better decisions.
Rogers finally had a monster day during Monday's training camp practice. He made routine short routes look easy against the Colts defensive backs and is making a strong push for the fifth receiver spot.
Fantasy Impact
The critics of Da'Rick Rogers argue that he can only beat coverage on deep routes due to his blazing speed and that he fails to gain separation on short to intermediate routes due to his poor route running skills. This seemed to be the case last year, but Rogers is still very young and he seems to be improving in this area as he routinely beat the colts secondary in short routes yesterday. Rogers is battling Griff Whalen for the fifth receiver spot and is making a case to be on the Colts active gameday roster this year. His roster spot seems to be safe considering the Colts will probably hold onto six receivers this year, but he is not currently worth drafting in even the deepest of fantasy leagues.
