Landry Jones
QB -
2024 Outlook
The Jaguars have signed QB Landry Jones.
Fantasy Impact
Jones has been added as insurance as Blake Bortles is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing arm. Jones isn't expected to see time this season without at least a more serious injury to Bortles, and isn't fantasy relevant at this time.
Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Landry Jones completed 23-of-27 passes for 239 yards one touchdown and one interception in the Steelers’ 28-24 win over the Browns.
Fantasy Impact
Jones has shown he can be a decent option if Big Ben sits and the matchup is right. Moving forward, if Roethlisberger somehow misses time, I wouldn’t trust Jones in daily leagues during these playoffs.
Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Landry Jones threw one incomplete pass in the Steelers’ 34-6 win over the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Impact
If the Steelers didn’t have anything to play for, Jones might actually be a decent option in daily leagues in Week 17, but the Steelers still have a chance at home-field throughout the playoffs, so keep Jones out of your lineups.
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Landry Jones completed 24-of-37 passes for 277 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in the Steelers' 27-24 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Fantasy Impact
Filling in for Ben Roethlisberger and without playmakers Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell in the lineup, Jones actually had a very solid effort in Week 17, hitting WR Cobi Hamilton for a 26-yard game-winning TD in overtime. He'll revert to his regular backup role when the Steelers take on the Dolphins next week in their Wild Card matchup.
Steelers QB Landry Jones completed 29-of-47 pass attempts for 281 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Steelers' 27-16 loss to the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Jones stepped in for the injured Ben Roethlisberger (knee), but couldn't pull off the upset on Sunday evening. While the Steelers backup QB wasn't extremely impressive by any means, Jones also wasn't entirely incompetent like many had feared he may be. An early INT in the end zone was the result of poor decision-making, but Jones rebounded from then on and played a relatively safe and efficient game. He hit WR Antonio Brown seven times for 106 yards and found RB Le'Veon Bell 10 times for 68 yards. It wasn't enough to get the victory, however, and the Steelers are crossing their fingers that Roethlisberger will be healthy enough to be under center against the Ravens in Week 9 after Pittsburgh's Week 8 bye.
