Letroy Guion suspended three games

Green Bay Packers DT Letroy Guion has been suspended three games. The suspension is the result of his offseason arrest in which he was found with $190,000 in cash, 357 grams of marijuana and an unloaded handgun.

Fantasy Impact

Guion will appeal the suspension, but it looks like the Packers will be without him for at least a game. He's listed behind B.J. Raji on the team's depth chart, but he did contribute 3.5 sacks in 2014.

Letroy Guion remains a Packer

After an eventful offseason, Letroy Guion has re-signed with the Green Bay Packers on a one-year deal.

Fantasy Impact

While Guion may face league discipline for a February arrest, this news should be viewed as a positive for the Packers DST. A pleasant surprise last season, Guion filled in at nose tackle and had the best season of his career. Coupled with the re-signing of Raji, the Packers should be well-armed in the interior of their defensive line.

Letroy Guion to avoid jail

Under a deferred prosecution agreement, Letroy Guion will likely avoid jail time following last months arrest.

Fantasy Impact

This is certainly good news for Letroy's chances of returning to Green Bay and the Packers DST in general. The Packers were in negotiations for a long term deal with Guion before the arrest and have stated they are still "open" to having him return in 2015. This will probably lower the 2014 surprise contributor's price tag. If resigned, he should be a vital part of the 2015 Packers defensive line rotation.

Letroy Guion arrested

DT Letroy Guion was charged with a felony of possessing a firearm and marijuana, according to Starke, Fla. police.

Fantasy Impact

Starke, Fla. police found $190,028.81 in cash along with 9mm semi-automatic pistol and two large Ziploc bags of marijuana (357 grams) when pulling over Guion. The gun was unloaded and permitted, and bank statements prove that the cash was from NFL game checks. He is being held on two felony charges. Even though the gun and money is accounted for, there is no excuse for the marijuana. Letroy Guion's chances of being back in Green Bay, or the NFL for that matter, are looking pretty dim at this point.
