Phil Taylor

In somewhat of a surprise, Phil Taylor was released by the Browns Tuesday afternoon. Taylor's salary will still be on the team's books in 2015 as it became guaranteed in March.

Fantasy Impact

Taylor should have no problem catching on with another team, but he simply became expendable with the drafting of Danny Shelton. Taylor represented the last remaining draft pick that came over in the 2011 draft day trade that netted the Falcons Julio Jones.

Fantasy Impact

Taylor was a force up front for the Browns last season when healthy, but his season was cut short by the knee injury. It remains to be seen how he'll return, and he'll likely have an uphill battle considering the added difficulty bigger players have returning from significant knee injuries.
