Toby Gerhart carried the ball 13 times for 54 yards and caught both of his targets for nine yards in a 20-12 loss to the Ravens on Sunday. (Source: Fantasy Alarm)
Fantasy Impact: The 15 touches for 63 total yards isn't bad, considering that the Ravens are one of the stingiest defenses vs. RBs. Gerhart has a tasty matchup on Thursday vs. TEN. Consider him as a low-end flex option.
With Wednesday's news that Denard Robinson will miss the rest of the season with a foot sprain, Gerhart will likely return to the feature-back role for the remainder of the season. (Source: ESPN)
Fantasy Impact: Gerhart has played better of late, but faces a tough matchup in Week 15 @ BAL. The Ravens are very stingy vs. the run, but do not have All-Pro NT Haloti Ngata, due to a suspension. It's too risky to start Gerhart here, as the Jags will likely need to come from behind and throw a lot, but he has a tasty Week 16 matchup vs. Tennessee's soft run defense. Consider picking Gerhart up this week as an option to play as a FLEX in Week 16.
Although Gerhart is fully recovered from his foot injury, Denard Robinson remains the starting tailback in Jacksonville. (Source: Florida Times-Union)
Fantasy Impact: Gerhart currently isn't worthy of a roster spot. Jacksonville is going with the hot hand at tailback, and that is Denard Robinson. There is potential for Gerhart to vulture some goal line carries, as he is the bigger back, but wait for some production before including him on your roster.
Gerhart, the Jaguars’ starting running back in the first five games of the 2014 regular season, on Friday was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns with a foot injury.

Fantasy Impact: Gerhart was expected to be the 'bell-cow' back for the Jaguars, but has been a huge disappointment averaging only 2.6 yards per carry. Coach Bradley said the running back plan this week will be Storm Johnson and Denard Robinson splitting first- and second-down snaps and Jordan Todman handling the third-down duties.
Toby Gerhart will practice today to test out the ankle he sprained in Week 1 against Philadelphia. (Source: Hays Carlyon on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Toby Gerhart's ankle injury initially looked horrific and he admitted earlier today that he thought he had suffered a "massive injury." Lucky for Gerhart, the Jaguars, and his fantasy owners, the sprained ankle is "progressing" and he expects to play. However, this is a situation to monitor closely because if Gerhart suffers any setbacks today or Friday, it may cause him to miss Sunday's appetizing match-up against Washington. Gerhart is currently FantasyPros' consensus ranked RB18 for Week 2.
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said running back Toby Gerhart has an ankle sprain and will be limited early in the practice week. He had 12 yards on seven carries before limping off the field in the first quarter with an ankle injury. He later returned to finish the game with 42 yards on 18 carries (2.3 yards per carry) and two catches. (Source: CBSSports)
Fantasy Impact: Gerhart struggled in his first game and is now dealing with an ankle sprain. If he is able to play next week, he will look to bounce back against Washington who gave up 103 yards to Arian Foster in Week 1.
Toby Gerhart carried the rock six times for a total of 19 yards in his new home with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact: Gerhart looked solid in his debut and showed some of his ability on a nice 18-yard run in the first quarter. He also caught one ball out of the backfield for 8 yards after stiff-arming Bears Safety Danny McCray to the ground. Gerhart will be the Jags 'bell-cow' and is currently being drafted in the beginning of the 4th round. He is ranked as FantasyPros' RB17.
Fantasy Impact: Toby Gerhart is getting back to practice today (8/12) after missing a little more than a week with a sore hip flexor. Jags beat writer Ryan O'Halloran said that Gerhart will likely get "5-6 carries" against the Bears this coming Thursday (8/14). Jags fans and fantasy owners alike will get their first look at Jacksonville's new 'bell-cow' RB. Gerhart's ADP has slipped out of the third round in the last two weeks and he's now being drafted at the beginning of the fourth round.
Fantasy Impact: We don't have much information about the severity of Gerhart's hip flexor injury, but we do know two things. First, the Jags have been very cautious when their players come down with soft tissues injuries. Secondly, we know the Jags want Gerhart to be their 'bell-cow' RB and want him to be 100% healthy when September 7th rolls around. Why risk Gerhart injuring his hip flexor any further by practicing/playing in the preseason? This is a situation to continue to monitor, but if Gerhart shows he's 100% by the end of August, his late-3rd round ADP could be excellent value for an RB who will be force-fed the football.

Fantasy Impact: Toby Gerhart not playing this coming Friday isn't too big of a deal this early in the season. The team is likely just playing it safe with the 27 year old RB. If anything, it allows the Jaguars to give RBs Jordan Todman, Storm Johnson, and Denard Robinson more work.

Fantasy Impact: Toby Gerhart's injury sounds minor and the team is just being cautious. With the new season still a month away, this injury doesn't harm Gerhart's fantasy stock whatsoever. Continue to draft him near the 3rd/4th round turn.
Toby Gerhart did not play in the Jaguars scrimmage on Saturday night due to tightness in his leg. He is expected to return to practice on Monday. (Source: ESPN)
Fantasy Impact: Gerhart's leg "tightness" is very minor and doesn't impact his fantasy stock in any way. The 27-year-old RB could be a great value given his expected workload (20 carries/game) and late-3rd round cost. He's an RB2 with a low-end RB1 ceiling.
Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch doesn’t envision 300-carry season for starting free-agent running back Toby Gerhart.
Fisch called Gerhart and second-year veteran Jordan Todman “a pretty good one-two punch,” and added that the Jaguars like how second-year veteran Denard Robinson and rookie Storm Johnson are running in camp. (Source: Jaguars.com)
Fantasy Impact: Gerhart should still see 15-20 carries a game and if he stays healthy will be one of the biggest fantasy sleepers at RB in his first season with the Jaguars. Gerhart should be considered a high-end RB2 with potential to crack the top-10 at the position.
