Fantasy Impact
Though Michael Sam has no fantasy value outside of IDP leagues, he and the St. Louis Rams have proven that his participation need not be a distraction if the parties (including the media) don't make it a distraction. Here's hoping that not only does Michael Sam make a roster this year (or the Rams' practice squad) but that he has also opened a door for other young, openly gay men who have the talent to become football players and stars and future bonafide fantasy options.
