Wash might be a bit better this year but Texans know they need to pount it with Foster and Skins run D isn't great.

- Kevin Roberts, Breaking Football

I love Martin, but not this week. CAR is tough overall, but brutal against the run. Martin could struggle to gain footing early.

- Kevin Roberts, Breaking Football

He'll be ready for week 1, so expect a big workload right from the get go whil the Texans establish the running game to let that vaunted defense go to work.

Volume back versus a tough front 7. A ranking just outside of the top-12 is warranted, but he'll see enough touches to be worth starting in most formats.

Carolina has one of the best defenses in the country and I expect them to keep Martin in check most the game. But if you have him, more than likely, you are starting him. Better days are ahead though, don't worry.

- Tom Schriner, FFLockerRoom

We'll see if he even plays in the opener, but if he does, Washington allowed the fourth most points to fantasy running backs last year. I would expect the Texans to ease him back into action, not give him 25 rushing attempts against a NFC East opponent.

- Derek Lofland, Fantasy Football Maniax

Martin is an average flex play against a tough Carolina defense. His only hope to tally respectable fantasy points is for the Buccaneers to throw him the ball and let him make plays in space.
