Tom Brady will get his numbers. 4,000 Yards is automatic, and Danny Amendola is more than capable of being the #1 Option. While Gronk is the #1 option, Amendola will be an amazing #2 in the passing game for Brady. Danny was able to get numbers being the only WR in a Sam Bradford offense, he will definitely get numbers as the sometimes goto option for Brady. Finally Bowe has a capable QB throwing to him. From Kyle Orton to Matt Cassel and a bunch of QBs who do not play in the NFL ever again after their few game stint with the Chiefs. Bowe gets Alex Smith, and most importantly Andy Reid. Look for the Chiefs to pass the ball often, while also giving the ball to Jamaal Charles often. Smith knows how to get the ball into #1 WR hands, Michael Crabtree had his moments, Bowe is a much better player.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
The Bills were 14th against fantasy receivers last year, but that was with CB Stephon Gilmore in the lineup. They are going to have no answers for Amendola in the opener.Bowe starts his rebound season on a solid note in Jacksonville, a team that was 13th against fantasy receivers last year. Still, Bowe should see too many targets to be anything less than a WR2.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Buffalo is without their top corner so Amendola could have a rocking debut.Bowe should have a nice start to the year against weak Jags D.
Staff Rankings
Fantasy Football Freaks
I think Danny is going to be a big contributor in the Patriots offense this year. Plays the 15th ranked Buffalo Bills pass D.
Staff Rankings
FFLockerRoom
Danny is a high-volume receiver with 153 receptions in his past 28 games. Consider Amendola a low-end No.2/high-end No.3 WR in standard leagues that could approach 100 receptions as Welker's replacement if he can stay healthy, making him a potential No.2 in PPR formats. Look for Amendola to be drafted in Round 5 in the majority of all leagues.Bowe should be considered a low-end No.2 Fantasy WR with a ton of upside and chance to be a must-start option depending on how he clicks with Alex Smith and develops under Andy Reid. Bowe is worth drafting in Rounds 5-6, any later he's a steal as a 2013 Bounce Back candidate.
Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
His possible groin injury is worrisome, but I truly doubt he'll play against a Buffalo team the Patriots should have an easy time with if he's not going to play fully. He is the #1 target for Brady and I should be the top point getter with Gronkowski out. He's the main threat for the Chiefs in the passing game and Reid likes the passing game. The Jaguars defense will be improved under Gus Bradley, but they'll still have trouble getting to the quarterback. Bowe should be able to get a bunch of targets with his competition in the Chiefs lineup not being much.
Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
Solid WR2 potential in a depleted vertical attack for the Patriots.
Taylor Smith
NFL Soup
Andy Reid loves him some big, T.O.-esque receivers, and Dwayne Bowe most certainly fits the bill. Alex Smith isn't great, but he's surely an upgrade over Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn.
Jordan Tozzi
Legion Report
Plagued with injuries every year, if Amendola can stay healthy in 2013 – envision a Wes Welker type season from Amendola. Production directly correlates with health. If drafting Amendola as your number two option at WR, grab another decent option to back him up.This Spring Dwayne Bowe predicted he would lead the NFL in catches and in receiving Touchdowns. As far as the passing game goes, Bowe says, “when the real season starts, that’s when you’ll see bombs over Bagdad.”
