NFL Soup
The Dolphins love this guy, and he has everything you'd want out of a lead back: size, speed, quickness. He's just unproven.
Bernard is as shifty as they come, and I'd imagine his role with the Bengals will increase as the year progresses. However, The Law Firm seems destined to get the carries in scoring situations, so that gives me some pause with Bernard.

Tozzi Brothers
Legion Report
Miami faces Buffalo twice, the Jets twice, the Colts and Saints – 6 games against teams finishing in the bottom 5 of rush defense last season. With an improved offense, Miller should have a strong second season in the NFL.
Bernard is the RB Cincinnati has always lacked, as he is explosive and capable of catching passes out of the backfield. We expect Bernard to have a strong shot at Rookie of the Year. FYI – Bernard is currently driving his Girlfriend’s Mom’s tan mini-van to training camp. Look for that to change soon.

Staff Rankings
Fantasy Football Freaks
He's getting the start against a below average Browns run defense. If he can start strong, he'll be rewarded with 3 great matchups in a row.

Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
I like Miller this week facing a Browns D that was just 21st against fantasy backs last year, I think he will start the season off with a good game.
I do not think the Law Firm is going to have much luck running up the middle of the Bears D, but I think Bernard could give them some problems on the outside and in the passing game.

Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Browns D is rising and his exact role is still unclear. He still has great upside to get things rolling, though.
Not the ideal matchup for your NFL debut.

Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
Miller's value was a little squashed this preseason by the Daniel Thomas hype from the Dolphins, but it was more of a motivational ploy to keep Miller sharp than anything. He is the undisputed starter and a talented one at that. Last season the Browns ranked 23rd in rushing yards allowed and 26th in receptions allowed to running backs. Of course Daniel Thomas still may get a series or two, stupidly.
Bernard faces a tough defense on the road for his NFL debut. The Bears ranked 4th best in fantasy points given up to running backs last season and Bernard will split carries with Green-Ellis to start the season. It's tough to know exactly how much work he'll get so I'm shying away.

Pegged to be the starter ahead of Thomas
Will start season in timeshare before becoming clear lead back; too talented to leave BJGE on field

Muntradamus
Beast Dome
While everyone is jumping on the Lamar Miller bandwagon, you have to be semi-cautious about Daniel Thomas as of now. Daniel Thomas as a rookie showed a couple BEASTLY performances in 2011. He looked like such a Fantasy stud, owners were starting to use him as a RB#2 consistently. D-Thomas is not going away quietly, which will put the pressure on Miller to perform every week.
If you want to make a strong play in your draft, go for Bernard before Green-Ellis is off the board. The Bengals need Bernard to make them an electric offense like they know they can be. Bernard brings that Reggie Bush "X" Factor to the team if he gets going, while I will not compare him to Reggie now. He could be something special in the consistent Darren Sproles range.
