Fantasy Football Maniax
Bernard finished his rookie season as the 16th ranked fantasy back, despite tallying only 170 rushing attempts and 56 receptions. He should have a bigger role in the Bengals offense this year and be a Top 10 running back. Think Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice in his second year with the Ravens.
Bell showed a lot of promise in his rookie season with 1,259 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns. I look for him to stay healthy this season and have a strong second year. He may lose a few goal line carries to RB LeGarrette Blount, who signed there as a free agent. He made a bad decision being charged DUI and marijuana possession, but he should not be suspended this season.

Smitty
Fantasy Football Starters
I rank Gio Bernard higher than most, and I think he actually has top 5RB upside (with 60-70 reception capability). At No. 14 overall value here, but even later in many recent drafts (I've seen him go as late as 18-20 overall), that's value!
Likely won't miss time due to recent DUI/marijuana possession.

Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
Bernard is one of my favorite players this season. He gets Hue Jackson to help make the run game better and bigger and he's still a great 3rd down/receiving back. We may see Jeremy Hill near the goal line, but i don't believe it will be 100% of the time and Jackson will give enough looks to Gio for it not to be a huge detriment.
Bell isn't going to blow you away with his speed, but he's fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game and the Steelers finished strong last season on offense while their defense is faltering. Bell should be a big part of this offense and never comes off the field.

James Hatfield
Hatty Waiver Wire Guru
I love watching Gio run on the field. He is an outstanding RB talent and his PPR upside is amazing. He will be given more workload in 2014 and will see double-digit TDs.
He missed three games last year and his combined stats for the remainder of the season were outstanding. He has huge upside and is a favorite RB selection for 2014.

Pat Fitzmaurice
The Football Girl
He'll be worth a first-round pick even if touch volume increases only slightly.
A versatile, every-down back with a nose for the end zone.

Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Gio is very much on the rise. There is tons to love about his game and role for 2014.
Pittsburgh did bring in some help but Bell is a workhorse with some nice versatility. He'll threaten for a top-10 spot.

Tom Schriner
FFLockerRoom
With the system in place from Hue Jackson, Bernard has the most to gain. Expect big things from Gio this season.
Bell showed flashes of being a great three-down back last season, if he can build on that and the entire Steeler offense can grow this season, he should be in the top ten without a doubt.

Brandon Funston
Yahoo! Sports
10 targets (6/62) tops among RBs in W1; Rookie Hill no threat to workload in opener (20 touches for Gio, 4 for Hill)
Awesome W1 performance tops among RBs; Blount did get goal line TD, but only 4 carries, a huge relief for Bell owners

Sablich Brothers
The New York Times
Will handle featured run/pass duties in new OC Jackson's run first scheme.
Bell to share early down duties with Blount and lose goal line work. Ouch.

Tozzi Brothers
Legion Report
Out with the old and in with the new in Cincy! Many people may not recognize that Bernard didnít start a single game in 2013, but Marvin Lewis and the Gang expect big things as Bernard is expected to be used heavily in the Cinci Offense. Previous OC Jay Gruden allowed Andy Dalton to toss 586 passes last season (The Red Rifle averaged 543 Passing Attempts over the past 3 Seasons). New OC Hue Jackson is dedicated to the ground game and the philosophy will be adapted in 2014. Expect Bernard to be heavily utilized (touching the ball around 300 times) as a dual-threat this season with huge break-out potential. (BTW Ė Bernard had 56 Receptions in 2013, which was 8th amongst RBís)
The Steelers RB is expected to hit 300 carries in 2014 and his versatility and receiving ability makes him an electric option to roster. In 2013, Bell notched 45 receptions for 399 Yards. Look for Bell to take a step forward in 2014 and donít be surprised if he finishes the season higher than our current rankings show.

Jeff Boggis
Fantasy Football Empire
Bernard had 3 receiving TDs and 5 rushing TDs in 2013, resulting in over 1,200 all purpose yards. Better in PPR formats, Bernard could be good for 4-5 receptions per game this season. I see Bernard with at least 300 touches this season. He is a low RB1.
Finished with 8 rushing TDs in his rookie season last year. Bell will be the featured back, despite the signing of LeGarrette Blount. Not an exciting pick, but Pittsburgh will run the ball.

Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
Giovani Bernard will approach RB1 numbers this year especially in PPR formats but lost a bit of his appeal when the Bengals drafted the talented Jeremy Hill to replace BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Potential workhorse will see some carries and goal-line touches vultured by Blount
