Reggie Wayne is now 35 Years Old, and the Colts are running a West Coast Offense. West Coast offense is good if you are the type of player who can take a 4 Yard Slant to the house, for a player like Reggie Wayne..You have to hope for a Tim Brown/Jerry Rice season from their time together in Oakland. Luck should still put up numbers, and Wayne is the obvious #1. The explosion factor may start to fall. Here is what I wrote on a Featured article about T.Y. on FantasyPros...“Thank You” Hilton is a fantasy player that is going to see his value drop more than any WR. 1. The Colts are moving to a quick pass offense aka West Coast Offense. 2. The Colts signed Darrius Heyward-Bey who is arguably the fastest WR in the NFL. 3. The Colts may actually have a legitimate running game in 2013 with Bradshaw. What made T.Y. special was the fact that the Colts had no running game in 2012. If Andrew Luc...
Jordan Tozzi
Legion Report
Last year, at 34 years old, Wayne racked up 106 receptions (5th most in the NFL). Wayne was 2nd in the league in Targets at 195, making him more desirable in PPR Leagues.“The Game’s slowing down for me, so now I can just play fast.” I’d feel more confident ranking Hilton here if the Colts locked him in as a starter. The Big Play – Deep Threat Hilton took me to a Fantasy Championship last year. It’s obvious he’s Indy’s second best option, beside the aging 34 year old Reggie Wayne.
Staff Rankings
FFLockerRoom
Wayne led the league in targets from Luck last seasons (211 targets). A lack of touchdown production last year (really the last 3 years) keeps him out of No.1 Fantasy WR consideration but landing him as a No. 2 choice with a pick in Round 5 or 6 should be a simple, safe and productive choice.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
I think Wayne will also have a big game against the Raiders defense this weekend. There is just no way this secondary is going to be able to keep up with Hilton and that will open up the intermediate routes for Wayne.I still think he is going to have a great year and be a force in the opener, but the split with DHB is becoming a little more concerning, at least for the beginning of the season. It seems impossible the most explosive receiver on the team would see more time on the bench than the field.
Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
The new O will no the as vertical but he is still the number one option for a stud QB in Lucksolid flex option but will likely be rotating snaps with DHB mitigating both players values
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Raiders have D.J. Hayden for a reason but Wayne should get his. He's not starting but the matchup is gravy and he should still play a lot.
Jeff Boggis
Fantasy Sports Empire
T.Y. Hilton (IND vs. OAK) – The T.Y. will stand for “Touchdowns Yes” after week 1. Hilton had 7 receptions, 114 receiving yards, and 3 TD in preseason action.
Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
He's still the main man in Indianapolis and Oakland's pass defense is one of the worst in the league. He will get his.I hate that he doesn't come in on two receiver sets, but when he does come in he gets targets and the Raiders will have a hard time stopping him.
