Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed the explosion of “daily fantasy games” over the past couple years. These games don’t require season long commitments and you can win cash prizes every week. If you’re doing a ton of fantasy research for your season-long leagues anyway, why not put that knowledge to use to win some money, right? Daily fantasy sites are giving away millions of dollars!

The most popular format for these one-week fantasy football contests is the Salary Cap Game. Similar to the real NFL, you can’t have a team that exceeds a maximum budget. This forces everyone to be on a level playing field, and it awards the savvy GM that can find the best value picks, high upside sleepers, and reliable studs to include in his lineup.

To help you guys identify these undervalued players, we just launched a new Salary Cap Analysis Tool that compares our Expert Consensus Rankings to DraftStreet’s weekly salaries. We’ll be launching similar reports for other popular daily fantasy sites like FanDuel and DraftKings soon (the sites each use different salaries and scoring settings).

In a nutshell, the report helps you narrow down your player options for DraftStreet’s salary cap game by allowing you to filter for things like:

    • Players expected to score the most fantasy points (Proj. Pts)
    • Players that are relatively cheap based on their salary and projection (Cost per Pt)
    • Players expected to outperform their DraftStreet rank (Rank Diff)
    • Players that have the least risk of being inactive on game day (Status)

Play around with the report to see if it can help you find some undervalued players for this weekend. You can use the advice to win up to $2,000 this week in our $6,000 FantasyPros Challenge. Winner gets $1,000 and anybody that beats our top daily fantasy expert shares a $1,000 Beat the Expert Bonus. It’s only $11 to enter and the contest is capped at 500 players max. Everyone should also get in our Free Start/Sit Contest ($1,000 prize pool and completely free to play). Get your lineups in now before you forget!

Good luck this week!
