Let’s take a look at some of the top value options for Week 7 Yahoo DFS lineups.

Quarterback
Brian Hoyer – Houston Texans ($30)
@ Miami Dolphins
Hoyer is a veteran quarterback and he knows how to get the ball to his playmakers. Last week he threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns. He peppered DeAndre Hopkins with 15 targets, connecting on 10 for 148 yards and two touchdowns. The other touchdown pass went to All Pro running back Arian Foster. No matter what you think of Hoyer as a real life quarterback, the weapons are there for him to be a consistent fantasy producer going forward.
Other notables:
- Matthew Stafford ($31)
- Josh McCown ($30)
- Jameis Winston ($28)
- Landry Jones ($25)
Running Back
Theo Riddick – Detroit Lions ($17)
vs. Minnesota Vikings
Riddick is currently operating as Detroit’s main pass-catching back, a position that has thrived against the Vikings so far this season. According to Football Outsiders’ DVOA stat, Minnesota is twenty-sixth in the league against running backs and twenty-eighth in defending runnings backs in the passing game. Riddick is currently the fifteenth highest scoring running back in PPR leagues and is a sneaky value this week even on a half-PPR site like Yahoo for as long as his usage in the offense remains the same.
Other notables:
- Ameer Abdullah ($17)
- Duke Johnson, Jr ($16)
- Christine Michael ($13)
- Marcel Reece ($10)
Wide Receiver
Martavis Bryant – Pittsburgh Steelers ($21)
@ Kansas City Chiefs
Did you see Bryant’s triumphant return to the NFL last week? He racked up six catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns against the Cardinals. Bryant needs to be in your lineups this week. His weekly upside is so high, his price is reasonable, and the matchup is great. The Chiefs have one of the worst pass defenses in the league as they are ranked twenty-eighth in DVOA. It remains to be seen if Ben Roethlisberger returns this weekend, but Bryant showed that he can get the job done with Landry Jones under center as well. Michael Vick is likely to miss Week 7 with a hamstring injury and after Jones’ solid performance, it is not a given that Vick will remain the No. 2 quarterback anyway.
Other notables:
- T.Y. Hilton ($24)
- Willie Snead ($22)
- John Brown ($21)
- Donte Moncrief ($19)
- Stefon Diggs ($16)
Tight End
Jimmy Graham – Seattle Seahawks ($18)
@ San Francisco 49ers
Graham is not a player you would normally expect to see recommended as a value play. His salary has dipped on Yahoo and he is cheaper than some inferior options this week. Last week’s usage was encouraging for the All Pro tight end as he saw 12 targets against the Panthers. He made eight catches for 140 yards in his finest performance as a Seahawk. Let’s hope Seattle continues to prioritize getting the ball to one of the game’s top mismatches. The 49ers rank twenty-sixth in the league at covering tight ends according to Football Outsiders.
Other notables:
- Delanie Walker ($18)
- Charles Clay ($18)
- Julius Thomas ($17)
- Ben Watson ($14)
- Ladarius Green ($11)
Defense
New York Giants ($11)
vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Giants are playing at home this week against Matt Cassel, who is making his first start for the Cowboys. Cassel has been rather turnover-prone throughout his career, throwing 70 interceptions in 91 games. The Giants have been good at limiting their opposition’s rushing attack this season, meaning the Cowboys may have to throw the ball more than they would like to in this game.
Other notables:
- Washington Redskins ($12)
- Buffalo Bills ($12)
- New England Patriots ($12)
