Will Matt Forte become the next veteran back to try and win a ring with New England?

With free agency set to start on March 9 at 4:00 PM, there’s less than a month left before the moves start happening. Here is a look at the current free agency rumors swirling around some of the league’s biggest free agents.

Sam Bradford (QB – PHI)
There are some conflicting reports about whether Bradford will be back with the Eagles. According to Adam Schefter, the Eagles could be looking into bringing back Nick Foles, which would likely signal the end of Bradford’s time in Philadelphia.

Schefter also believes the Eagles will not use a franchise tag on Bradford. If the Eagles move on from Bradford, they may be in the market for a quarterback in the draft.

Kirk Cousins (QB – WAS)
John Keim, the Redskins reporter for ESPN, believes that the team will try to sign Cousins to a long-term deal this offseason. It doesn’t appear that Washington is going to allow Cousins to leave town, and it also looks like the franchise tag is not an option they are considering.

Doug Martin (RB – TB)
All signs out of Tampa Bay lead one to believe that he will re-sign with the Buccaneers. That being said, Terry McCormick of “Titan Insider” says the Titans are extremely interested in acquiring the services of the veteran tailback.

McCormick went on to mention that current Titans GM Jon Robinson knows Martin from his days working in Tampa Bay. If Martin were to leave Tampa Bay, that would make Charles Sims an interesting name in redraft and especially dynasty leagues.

Matt Forte (RB – CHI)
Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston, thinks that Forte could end up with the Patriots. This would certainly fit the mold of veteran running backs finding their way to New England for a championship run in the twilight of their career.

It would be interesting to see how he would be utilized in New England, but Dion Lewis and James White would both see their stock go down with Forte in town. For the Bears, Jeremy Langford could be in line to become the team’s new workhorse back, which would make him a hot commodity in dynasty and redraft leagues next year.

Lamar Miller (RB – MIA)
There’s a chance Miller might not be back with the Dolphins. Miami reporter Barry Jackson recently said that while the Dolphins would like to keep Miller, they also feel that second-year running back Jay Ajayi is ready to be a full-time starter. No other teams have been linked to Miller yet, but Ajayi would be a really interesting name next year if he had the starting job to himself.

Alshon Jeffery (WR – CHI)
Jeffery has yet to commit to staying with Chicago. According to Rich Campbell, Jeffery said that he would like to be in a position to compete for a championship.

If Jeffery were to leave the Bears, second-year receiver Kevin White would instantly become the top target for the team. White missed all of his rookie season with a shin injury, so he could come along slowly.

Marvin Jones (WR – CIN)
Jones recently said that he will not be giving the Bengals a hometown discount to re-sign him. This doesn’t necessarily mean Jones will leave the Bengals, but it is worth keeping in mind.

As one of the top receiving options on the market after Jeffery, Jones could have a big opportunity in front of him. If he lands in the right spot next season, he could be a nice sleeper heading into the 2016 fantasy season.
