Will Sam Bradford stay in Philadelphia?

With free agency set to start on March 9 at 4:00 PM, there’s less than a month left before the moves start happening. With the NFL combine just beginning, there’s been some new rumors emerging. Here is a look at the current free agency rumors swirling around some of the league’s biggest free agents.

Sam Bradford (QB – PHI)
Eliot Shorr-Parks, of NJ.com, writes that the Eagles are interested in bringing Bradford back to Philadelphia, but only if his price isn’t too high. The Eagles appear to be keeping their options open when it comes to the position, but bringing Bradford back is still an option.

If they decide to move on, they could draft a quarterback in this spring’s NFL Draft or pursue a veteran like Nick Foles or Chase Daniel. At this point, it’s anybody’s guess where Bradford ends up.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB – NYJ)
The Jets are optimistic they will be able to work out a contract with Fitzpatrick, writes Rich Cimini of ESPN. The team is going to meet with Fitzpatrick’s agent at the NFL combine. It looks likely the two sides work something out to bring the veteran quarterback back to New York next season.

Doug Martin (RB – TB)
Martin and Tampa Bay GM Jason Licht met at the NFL combine in Indianapolis on Wednesday, which is a promising sign that Martin may resign in Tampa. Rick Stroud, of the Tampa Bay Times, recently tweeted that he doesn’t expect an agreement to take place in Indianapolis.

Lamar Miller (RB – MIA)
Miami Herald writer Armando Salguero recently tweeted that Miami GM Chris Grier wants Miller back, and he is expected to meet with Miller’s agent sometime during the scouting combine. New head coach Adam Gase also spoke positively about Miller’s skillset, but Gase has spoken positively about almost every Dolphins player he’s been asked about. In the end, it appears likely this will come down to whether the Dolphins are willing to pay what it will cost to keep Miller.

Alshon Jeffery (WR – CHI)
The Bears are expected to either sign Jeffery to a long-term deal or franchise tag him, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Either way, it does not look like Jeffery, the top free agent wide receiver, will reach the open market.

Marvin Jones/Mohamed Sanu (WR – CIN)
The Bengals are believed to be interested in keeping Jones in town, but there have been other teams interested in him and Sanu. Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, recently tweeted that Cincinnati director of player personnel Duke Tobin told reporters he wants to keep the free agent receivers and that the team is willing to spend to make that happen. Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, believes the receiver-needy Browns could attempt to bring Jones or Sanu to town to be reunited with head coach Hue Jackson.

Travis Benjamin (WR – CLE)
According to Sashi Brown, VP of football operations, the team met with Benjamin at the NFL combine on Wednesday night. Vaughn McClure, of ESPN, believes that Benjamin is on the Falcons’ list of potential targets once free agency opens. Expect the Browns, already thin at the position, to make a strong offer to keep the speedy receiver in the fold.
