HITTERS

Runs

Logan Morrison (TB – 1B) – Owned in 3.2% of ESPN Leagues
After batting just .100 in the month of April, Morrison now has his average up to .225, due in large part to how well he’s been hitting this month. The 28-year-old first baseman is batting .373 in May and has an OBP of .565, with eight runs scored, over the last 15 days. He even has two steals over that stretch. With Lucas Duda on the DL, Morrison is a good replacement pickup who should be available in most leagues.

HR

Adam Lind (SEA – 1B) – Owned in 2.5% of ESPN Leagues
Another guy to replace Duda with, especially in terms of HR, is Lind. The veteran first baseman has five HR on the season, but three of those five have been hit over the last seven days. What’s even more impressive is that of his five HR, four of them have come at home in Safeco Field, which is not a hitter-friendly park.

RBI

Matt Adams (STL – 1B)Owned in 7.2% of ESPN Leagues
Adams has 14 RBI over the last 15 days. He’s a big run producer for the Cardinals and has three HR and nine RBI over the last seven days. His 21 RBI on the season puts him tied for 15th among all 1B. Adams may be someone you want to add to your roster even if you don’t need to fix an injury. You’ll just want to make sure there’s no long-term concerns with the injury he’s dealing with.

Steals

Danny Santana (MIN – SS, OF) – Owned in 6.5% of ESPN Leagues
Since returning to action at the end of April, Santana has been tough to gun down on the base paths. He has four steals over the last 15 days and 10 on the season, which makes him tied for sixth in the league. It’s usually very difficult to chase one particular category in fantasy, but Santana will help you immensely, and he qualifies at multiple positions.

AVG/OBP

Chase d’Arnaud (ATL – 3B, SS) – Owned in 0.5% of ESPN Leagues
While his brother continues to struggle to stay healthy for the Mets, Chase d’Arnaud is making a name for himself in Atlanta. He’s batting .375/.468/.525 this season and .407/.529/.500 over the last seven days. While it’s been a disappointing year for the Braves thus far, d’Arnaud has been one of the very few bright spots.

PITCHERS

Strikeouts

Michael Pineda (NYY – SP) – Owned in 48.6% of ESPN Leagues
After a disappointing start to the season, Pineda has bounced back over his last few outings. He has 22 strikeouts over his last 16.2 IP. While his ERA is still very high (6.34 on the season), he will help you in Ks and pick up a win for you every now and then.

Wins

Wade Miley (SEA – SP) – Owned in 23.1% of ESPN Leagues
Miley has won four out his last five starts and had an ND in the other one. He’s 5-2 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.23 WHIP and a big reason why the Mariners are in first place in their division.

ERA

Nick Tropeano (LAA – SP) – Owned in 11.3% of ESPN Leagues
Tropeano has allowed three runs or fewer in four straight starts and has an ERA of 2.86 this season. At the beginning of the season, the second-year pro had trouble lasting long enough in games to qualify for a win, despite his low ERA, but is coming off a win against the Rangers in which he went 6.0 IP and allowed zero ER.

WHIP

Kevin Siegrist (STL – RP) – Owned in 11.3% of ESPN Leagues
He may only help you in two categories, but Siegrist is worth adding to your pitching roster. He’s allowed just five ER all season in 19.0 IP and has an ERA of 2.37 and a 0.89 WHIP.

Saves

Jake Diekman (TEX – RP) – Owned in 4.7% of ESPN Leagues
Sam Dyson just took over the Rangers’ closer duties, but should he struggle at all, Diekman would appear to be the next man up. Diekman has a 2.08 ERA and a 0.92 ERA this season. If you have a roster spot to spare, grab him now on the cheap in the hopes that he gets the job soon.
