Dynasty rookie drafts and startups are underway, and you want to know what’s happening with your shiny new toys. I get it. Just remember that this is just the first step in a long process for these budding superstars. There is bound to be butterflies in their stomachs and plenty of nervous energy. Don’t ignore the news you hear at this time of the non-playing season, but don’t take it as gospel either. Let’s get into the reports from the second week of rookie minicamps!

You can find the recap of Week 1 from Bruce Matson here.

Corey Coleman (WR – CLE)
Reports from Hue Jackson are that Coleman showed up to camp a bit out of shape. It is extremely early, however, and I can’t imagine a guy as competitive as Coleman will take long to get up to speed in terms of conditioning. Anything less than the feature role in the Browns’ passing game would be a disappointment for fantasy owners.

Derrick Henry (RB – TEN)
Henry said he had a good camp but needs to get better at everything. Check out Henry doing some footwork drills.

Hunter Henry (TE – SD)
The eventual replacement for Hall of Famer Antonio Gates reportedly got to San Diego less than 24 hours before starting camp due to commitments at Arkansas. It didn’t take long for him to impress coaches and turn heads with several receptions in seven on seven drills.

Carson Wentz (QB – PHI)
Wentz was mostly kept running basic drills this weekend. Reports are that he looked good making short play action passes from under center. Not much to see yet, but if you like, you can see Wentz doing some early work here.

Wendell Smallwood (RB – PHI)
Smallwood apologized once again for some anti-Philly tweets he made years ago. He also says he sees himself as an every-down running back. Given Ryan Mathews’ injury history, he just might get that shot.

Byron Marshall (RB – PHI)
A UDFA out of Oregon, Marshall will be tried out at WR as well as RB. It seems like he would have a better shot making the roster as a running back than he would as a receiver given how crowded it is at that position

Connor Cook (QB – OAK)
It is unlikely Cook will take over the starting job at any point from Derek Carr unless the current starter regresses in year three, but reports are that Cook looked great in camp after getting off to a slow start. This is the first step in taking over the backup position from Matt McGloin.

Josh Doctson (WR – WAS)
Reports out of Washington are that Doctson was a standout in camp and regularly gained separation on a variety of routes, only to have fellow rookie Nate Sudfeld miss the throw.

Keith Marshall (RB – WAS)
Marshall tweaked his hamstring on Friday but said it won’t be an issue. He is looking forward to proving himself as an every-down running back in the NFL.

Michael Thomas (WR – NO)
Thomas was interviewed at minicamp and spoke about Drew Brees and Brandin Cooks reaching out to him and making him feel comfortable. He said that he was already feeling pretty comfortable with the system and the verbiage differences of the offense.

Jordan Howard (RB – CHI)
Expected to compete with Jeremy Langford for the starting role, Howard noted that the pace of workouts was much faster than he expected.
