Adam Eaton is always a decent bet to get on base when facing RHPs

Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the FanDuel lineup advice. This article will focus on the nine-game main slate on FanDuel. As of right now, the only game that may have some weather concerns tonight is the game in Minnesota between the Braves and the Twins. Be sure to check out the weather forecasts around the league closer lineup lock. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my lineup for tonight.

Pitcher

Adam Wainwright (STL): $9,200 at NYM
While I prefer Yu Darvish for GPPs, Wainwright is the safer option for cash games. Wainwright has pitched pretty well this season with a 3.23 FIP and tonight he has a solid matchup against the Mets. The Mets have struggled against right-handed pitchers this season with a 95 wRC+ and 22.5% K%.

Catcher

Willson Contreras (CHC): $3,200 vs. CHW
The “Crosstown Classic” shifts to Wrigley Field tonight and the Cubs have a juicy matchup against Anthony Ranaudo, who has been awful during his career. Ranaudo has allowed a 0.377 wOBA and a 1.93 HR/9 to right-handed hitters in nine career starts at the MLB level.

First Base

Matt Adams (STL): $2,900 at NYM
It’s tough to fit any of the top dollar first basemen into your cash lineup tonight and feel comfortable everywhere else. Therefore, I will be going the value route tonight with Adams. Adams has had quite a bit of success against right-handed pitchers this season with a 0.341 wOBA and a 0.242 ISO.

• Freddie Freeman (ATL): $3,700 at MIN
• Chris Carter (MIL): $3,100 vs. ARI

Second Base

Ben Zobrist (CHC): $4,200 vs. CHW
In addition to right-handed hitters, we can also pick on Ranaudo with the Cubs’ left-handed bats as well. Zobrist has been outstanding this season with a 0.354 wOBA and a 0.174 ISO.

Other Notables

• Robinson Cano (SEA): $3,400 at PIT
• Greg Garcia (STL): $2,300 at NYM

Third Base

Adrian Beltre (TEX): $2,800 vs. OAK
This season has been no different than all of the rest for Beltre against left-handed pitching. Beltre currently has a 0.385 wOBA and a 0.202 ISO against southpaws this season. Tonight he has a decent matchup against Sean Manaea, who has not been great against right-handed hitters allowing a 0.331 wOBA.

• Kris Bryant (CHC): $4,700 vs. CHW

Shortstop

Aledmys Diaz (STL): $2,700 at NYM
Diaz is in a great spot tonight against Logan Verrett. Diaz has actually hit right-handed pitching better this season with a 0.386 wOBA and a 0.216 ISO. Also, Verrett has some extreme reverse splits in his rookie season for the Mets. He has allowed a 0.379 wOBA and a 1.91 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season.

• Addison Russell (CHC): $2,600 vs. CHW

Outfielders

Dexter Fowler (CHC): $3,400 vs. CHW
Yet another Cubs’ bat who we can use tonight is Fowler. Fowler has been great this season with a 0.377 wOBA against a 0.202 ISO against right-handed pitchers this season.

Adam Eaton (CHW): $2,900 at CHC
Even though potato chips have seemed to help Jason Hammel pitch better, there is no hiding the fact that he has struggled against left-handed hitters, allowing a 0.356 wOBA and a 4.67 BB/9. Eaton is never going to light the world on fire, but he is a relatively safe cash game option with a 0.336 wOBA against right-handed pitchers.

Stephen Piscotty (STL): $3,200 at NYM
I already mentioned how we can pick on Verrett and Piscotty is another Cardinals’ option who we can use. He does better against left-handed pitchers, but he is still fine to use against righties with a 0.327 wOBA this season.
