Fantasy Baseball Daily Update: Monday (9/26)
Edwin Encarnacion

Edwin Encarnacion and the Blue Jays walked off against the Yankees Sunday

There were great contests over the weekend, and best of luck to those that qualified for the finals in their fantasy league, but this daily update needs to open with the loss of one of the best and most charismatic players in baseball on Sunday morning. Jose Fernandez did not only come through as a great pitcher before his death at the age of 24, but as a person with a story of trimuph, successful making it to America in 2008 as a 15-year-old. With the loss of one of the best players in baseball, we here at FantasyPros dedicate this daily update for September 26, 2016 to Jose Fernandez and his family.

Jose Reyes and Asdrubal Cabrera led the effort with 4 RBI each, with Cabrera hitting a home run, while Eric Campbell and Michael Conforto each had two RBI over of the bench and Robert Gsellman (3-2) allowed three hits and two walks in seven scoreless innings, striking out eight batters for the Mets. White Sox blank Indians

Royals win wild game with Tigers
The Royals used nine extra-base hits and four stolen bases to win a wild 12-9 game over the Tigers on Sunday, keeping their dim hopes alive in the AL Wild Card. What to Watch For

The NL Central champion Cubs will have Cy Young candidate Kyle Hendricks on the hill against NL Wild Card hopefuls the Pirates and Chad Kuhl in the top matchup on Monday. Hendricks has allowed two runs or fewer in nine consecutive starts, earning a quality start in each start, and leads the National League with a 2.06 ERA this season. Kuhl has allowed two runs or fewer in seven of his last nine starts and allowed three runs on four hits in five innings in his last appearance against the Cubs. J.A Happ, Corey Kluber, and Tanner Roark will also pitch today.
