Bold Predictions for Week 7

Bold Predictions for Week 7

"<a

I mean, that was kind of uncanny, right? Not only were my Golden Tate and Spencer Ware bold predictions right on point, but I also boldly predicted that I would get TWO bold predictions correct. And I also just set a world record for saying words involving “bold” and “predict” in one sentence. So, pretty nice little week for me, eh?

We’re back up to our standard 20% accuracy rate with these guys, so let’s keep it rolling. Rest assured, one of these bad boys is coming true. I could tell you which one, but that would take some of the fun out of it, right?

1) Sam Bradford is a top 12 QB (22nd in ECR)
Look, Bradford isn’t in my QB1 article this week, but we’ve got the best narrative in all of sports working for us – revenge game! Bradford has been decent this year, throwing for 260 or more yards in three of his four starts, and averaging 1.5 touchdowns per game. The Eagles defense is solid, but Kirk Cousins showed that they’re beatable, and Bradford has had an extra week to prepare. And did I mention revenge game? You know the coaching staff will give Bradford a couple of extra shots at the end zone when he gets close. And, when they do, let’s all get #revengegame trending on Twitter, yes?

2) Zach Zenner is a top 20 RB (45th in ECR)
Zenner was effective last week against the Rams with 77 total yards. I expect Theo Riddick to miss this game, but even if Dwayne Washington comes back, Zenner should remain involved. That makes him a sneaky play against a Redskins team allowing 124 yards on the ground per game.

3) Michael Thomas is a top 20 WR (37th in ECR)
It’s not the greatest matchup for the Saints, but Thomas quietly has scored a touchdown in three straight games, and he leads the Saints in red zone targets with six. The Saints offense isn’t the same on the road, but they’ll still find a way to get into the end zone, and Thomas has as good a chance as any to be the one on the receiving end.

4) Lance Kendricks is a top 12 TE (25th in ECR)
The Giants aren’t bad against tight ends, but they are giving up about nine points per game in PPR scoring. Kendricks has quietly become one of (the suddenly competent) Case Keenum‘s favorite weapons, amassing 20 targets and 12 receptions over the past three games. What do you guys want from me, there aren’t THAT many bold predictions available for tight ends, OK? Plus, you’ll be watching this game since it’s on at 9:30, so we might as well have a rooting interest.

5) Oakland Raiders are a top 10 DST (18th in ECR)
For the first time ever, we’re busting out a DST bold prediction. Next week, kickers, am I right? The Jaguars have played five games, and Blake Bortles has thrown seven interceptions and been sacked 14 times. The Raiders are a sneaky play here.
