Rudy Gobert is far better than his price point suggests
The season is upon us. Hard to believe, but this is where the real action starts for serious daily fantasy players. Why? Well, because basketball is more predictable and has better trends to follow than football or baseball. Plus, more games are played each week compared to Football.
With only a three-game slate, there will not be as many value options to offer here. You will need to play your studs in both cash and GPP formats.

Point Guard
George Hill (UTA): $5,600 @ POR
Hill has a decent matchup and should be starting at PG for the Jazz today. Just based on opportunity alone, Hill should benefit the most based on his salary. That said, I’d likely pay up more for at least Kyrie Irving.
Shooting Guard
Iman Shumpert (CLE): $4,000 vs. NY
Shooting guard is the punt position of the night. Seems to be most nights to be honest. I will look to throw Shumpert in at the cheaper salary and pay up for guys like Stephen Curry and LeBron James. Shumpert has a decent matchup against a Knicks team looking to find their identity with their new faces.
Small Forward
Kyle Anderson (SA): $3,500 @ GS
When a door closes for one guy, it opens for another. With Danny Green out with a quad injury, Kyle Anderson looks to start on Tuesday. Keep an eye out though, it could be Jonathan Simmons starting instead. Whoever gets nod should be the guy to play here, and honestly either could be an option at this price point.
Power Forward
Trey Lyles (UTA): $4,000 @ POR
Another guy getting an opportunity because of an injury. Derrick Favors has been ruled out and Lyles should see the most minutes because of it. Get him in your lineups at this price!
Center
Rudy Gobert (UTA): $6,200 @ POR
With the injuries to Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward, someone will need to step up. Gobert could be that guy. At only $6,200 he is the second most expensive center on the slate, but could be worth it if you don’t want to go Pau Gasol.
Short and sweet. Look for more plays on bigger slates. Go get them!
