Stefon Diggs started the year on fire, going for 285 yards in his first two games and had the look of a second-year player ready to take off. However, Diggs has crashed back down to earth recently. In his last three games combined, he has 11 catches for 105 yards and no touchdowns. He’s been injured and missed Week 5, and other receivers like Adam Thielen and Cordarrelle Patterson have stepped up in his absence.

So, do we bench Diggs? Drop him?
The one thing we can’t do is trade him…nobody wants a relatively unproven fading wide receiver, and his trade value is likely not going to get any lower than it is now. I would definitely not drop him, but might take a wait and see approach. He may still be working through the lingering groin issue that kept him out of Week 5, but the eye test tells me he still looks to be the most talented wide receiver on the team. He’s able to get separation and very capable of big plays, as he showed in Week 2 vs. the Packers. His next three games are against Chicago, Detroit and Washington, not exactly daunting defenses. While Minnesota’s offense isn’t exactly explosive, they will still have to throw, especially with the run game struggling. I think a healthier Diggs is a beneficiary and a solid WR3/flex moving forward.
