With a pretty large slate upon us, it’s time to take a look at some value plays on FanDuel. Obviously, as the day progresses, keep an eye on who might be out which could give some opportunity to another teammate. Enough of the jibber-jabber, let’s get on to the values here.
Turn $25 into $40,000 in FanDuel’s NBA Slam
Point Guard
Sergio Rodriguez (PHI): $4,400 vs SAC
Rodriguez is now coming off of back-to-back games where he has seen 28 minutes and 25+ FanDuel points. If he duplicates that tonight, against a very poor defense, he will be one of the better value plays of the night. Due to some struggles, his price tag has dipped a bit, which definitely gives you a benefit. It’s going to be a fun matchup all around between these two teams.
Other Notables:
Jameer Nelson (DEN): $4,100
Ty Lawson (SAC): $4,100
Shooting Guard
Rodney Stuckey (IND): $4,000 @ POR
With Paul George, CJ Miles, and Kevin Seraphin ruled out, the Pacers are going to have to rely heavily on role players like Stuckey tonight. Stuckey has played well when given the opportunity in the past, and I see him building off his extra minutes tonight. He’s seen 27 and 25 minutes over his past two games. He did struggle a bit in his last game, only putting up 19 FanDuel points. Regardless, he should easily hit value in a very nice matchup against the Blazers.
Other Notables:
Josh Richardson (MIA): $4,600
Small Forward
Glenn Robinson III (IND): $4,700 @ POR
Much like Stuckey, Robinson is in line for tons and tons of minutes tonight. Robinson is a little more expensive than I would like but has seen nearly 40 minutes in back-to-back games. He’s averaging right around 25 FanDuel points when he sees 35+ minutes, something that is almost guaranteed tonight. As long as you can fit him into your lineup, I have no problems with his inflated price tag. Like I said about Stuckey, the Pacers offense has to come from somewhere tonight.
Other Notables:
Robert Covington (PHI): $4,500
Thabo Sefolosha (ATL): $4,200
Power Forward
Ersan Ilyasova (PHI): $4,600 vs SAC
This is another good matchup against a very poor Kings defense. The Kings have slowed down their tempo a good amount this year, but their inefficiency on defense is why Ilyasova should have an extremely good night. Honestly, his price tag is a little too high for me, but there’s still a great chance that he reaches 5X value. He’s seen at least 23 minutes in every game since the trade, and I don’t see that changing tonight, even with Joel Embiid most likely playing. Ilyasova is a scorer for the most part, so there is some risk in case his shot doesn’t fall.
Other Notables:
JaMychal Green (MEM): $4,400
Richaun Holmes (PHI): $3,800
Center
Steven Adams (OKC): $4,800 vs WAS
The Thunder have played so fast and in so many high scoring games that I really like Adams here, despite being a defensive specialist. Sure, he can score at times, but the reason he’s a starter is because of his defense. He has scored in double-digits in four of his past five games, so he is turning the corner a little in that category. He’s also collected seven rebounds per game during that stretch. When you add those numbers together, he’s been extremely valuable at his price tag.
Other Notables:
Andrew Bogut (DAL): $4,500
