FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Tuesday (11/29)

Fliip could have a great stretch for Nashville with Neal out for a while

So today the NHL has packed the slate with 12 games and wants us to figure out a winning lineup out of all the teams on the ice. It is going to be tough, but the good thing about a large slate, is the Paylines tend to be lower, due to the high variance. So let us look at a lineup I put together for a FanDuel cash game. This lineup is more 50/50 and Double-Up specific.

Center

Mike Fisher (NSH): $4,800 @ Colorado
Fisher has been kind of up and down this season but will be asked to do more, with the fact that James Neal was placed on the IR. All players will have to step up. I feel Fisher will have a goal and two assists while firing five shots on net.

Connor McDavid (EDM): $8,500 vs Toronto
Here we go with McDavid -vs- Matthews version two. Everyone loves watching the Maple Leafs offense as they are high powered. Not this game, though. McDavid and his line will control and dominate this game. McDavid is currently on a five-game scoring streak where he has five goals and five assists. Tonight he will have two goals and one assist with six shots on net.

Wings

Filip Forsberg (NSH): $6,700 @ Colorado
Forsberg is going to really have to step it up now, with the loss of Neal he will need to be the man in Nashville. In his last four games, Forsberg has one goal and three assists, while taking an average of three shots per game. I see two goals tonight with four shots on net and low ownership.

Milan Lucic (EDM): $5,500 vs Toronto
In his last four games, Lucic has two goals and five assists while taking a ton of shots. In his last game alone against Arizona, He had a team-high seven shots on net. He and McDavid should be the two that shine in this game. He will have a goal and two assists tonight with five shots on net and a blocked shot.

Patrick Eaves (DAL): $5,700 @ Detroit
Eaves and his Stars have been surprising people as of late. After starting the season with a ton of injuries and questions, they have started putting it together. Eaves has scored nine goals this season with five of them coming the way of the power play. I can see a power play goal and six shots on net tonight.

Zach Parise (MIN): $7,000 @ Vancouver
Parise and his Wild have been one of the hottest team in the NHL in the month of November. Although it took him a bit to get back up to speed since coming back from an injury, Parise is starting to put it together. Tonight against the Canucks he should be a one man highlight reel. I can see two goals (maybe a hat trick) with two assists and six shots on goal.

Defense

Julius Honka (Dal): $4,000 @ Detroit
Since being inserted into the Stars lineup, Honka has delivered. He has three assists in only four NHL career games while taking an average of three shots per game. Tonight he will score his First goal in the NHL and assist on another. He is a fast young player that people are overlooking. Don’t overlook him.

Jonas Brodin (MIN): $3,600 @ Vancouver
Brodin is not only a cap saver, but he has huge upside for his cost. He has a goal and three assists in his last three games, and hits value every night. He will be on the ice a lot with Parise during this game. They should compliment each other tonight. I can see two assists, two shots, and three blocked shots.

Goalie

Craig Anderson (OTT): $8,800 vs Buffalo
Anderson was named the NHL’s top star of the week for the second time this season. Last week alone he went 4-0-0 with one shutout. He last game against the Sabers was a hard loss for him to swallow, and he will look to right that wrong. Ottawa is one of the toughest teams in the NHL to score on, and that is in part thanks to Anderson’s stellar play. I can see a win tonight while stopping 34 of 35 shots.
