Week 9 was the second week in a row with six teams on byes, including several strong offenses. This was a recipe for plenty of breakout performances including Russell Wilson, who finally looked like himself again, Robert Woods, who had a career game Monday night and Mark Ingram who was reported to be the backup going into the game. Likewise, we saw several players put together disappointing weeks, none more than Devontae Booker and Dez Bryant. A few experts set themselves apart by forecasting some of these finishes. Let’s take a look at which experts fared well in Week 9. As always, you can check out the entire standings in our accuracy section.

Congrats to Addison Witt (Fantasy Team Advice) on a big week which put him above 140 other experts for the top ranking. Addison finished in the top 5 for his accuracy for both wide receivers and tight ends this week. He was also in the top 40 for quarterbacks and running backs. Witt took a few big chances that really paid off. One came when he correctly predicted Mike Evans would be the top wide receiver of the week. Virtually every other expert expected either Antonio Brown or Julio Jones to hold that honor. He also managed to rank Tampa Bay tight end Cameron Brate right on the money at TE #7 in Week 9. Perhaps his greatest feat, however, was that he didn’t make any wild predictions that came back to haunt him.

Sean Koerner (STATS) finally finished outside of the top 10 this week, but still managed to place in the top 30%, which was plenty to preserve his position for the season. There were four big movers this week, highlighted by Brett Talley (The Fantasy Fix) moving up from #4 to #2 thanks to another top 10 week. Jeff Ratcliffe (Pro Football Focus) also had a top 10 finish which vaulted him from #5 to #3. Likewise, John Paulsen (4for4.com) continued his terrific run with a top 3 finish this week, propelling him from #7 to #5. Perhaps most notably, Jason Longfellow (Razzball) surged into the top 10 for the year-to-date accuracy all the way up to #6 when he pulled off the second best set of rankings in Week 9.
