Bradley Beal draws the best matchup in basketball tonight

Here we go again, guys! Another big FanDuel contest is in front of us, beginning at 7PM. If you take down the NBA Clutch Shot, you will walk away with $100,000. Let’s get right down to it and look at a potential lineup you could use tonight to win.

Turn $25 into $40,000 in FanDuel’s NBA Slam partner-arrow

Point Guard

Eric Bledsoe (PHO): $8,100 @ UTA
There’s not a whole lot of big total games to target tonight outside of Orlando and Washington. I went with Bledsoe because he does have some potential, despite this being against Utah. You will get Bledsoe at a lower ownership because of the matchup and that he isn’t as consistent as you’d want him to be. Bledsoe is coming off of a good game, where he scored 27 points. He’s surprisingly been a bigger force on the defensive side, getting at least one steal in six straight games. Utah is tough and play slow, but they’ve been in five straight games with a 200+ line total.

Andrew Harrison (MEM): $4,300 vs PHI
Even though Harrison hasn’t performed as you’d want him to, he’s still going to see the minutes no matter what. Mike Conley is out, and Harrison is the guy who gets the ball first. He gets a nice matchup with a Philadelphia team playing their second game in as many days. Harrison is also coming off a back-to-back while seeing 40 minutes yesterday. Harrison is young and I definitely see him racking up big numbers once again tonight.

Also Consider:

Sergio Rodriguez (PHI): $4,600
Patty Mills (SA): $4,300

Shooting Guard

Bradley Beal (WAS): $7,100 vs ORL
This is my favorite game to target tonight, for obvious reasons. My only concern is that this might be a bit of a risk due to a blowout. Regardless, Beal is the top priced option at the shooting guard position. He hasn’t reached value over his past two games, but it looks like that reason was matchup-based. Against a poor defense in the Magic, I like my chances with Beal.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET): $5,700 vs CHI
Caldwell-Pope has been one of the most consistent players all season. Sure, he will have a dud here or there, but for the majority, he’s been hitting 5X value on most nights. Caldwell-Pope has seen 30+ fantasy points in six of his past eight games. His inconsistency is mainly because he’s dependent on his scoring. In that same eight-game span, he’s scored over 16 points six times. It’s not an ideal matchup against the Bulls, but this is a team that can struggle on the defensive side of things.

Also Consider:

Rodney Hood (UTA): $5,500
Justin Holiday (NY): $4,100

Small Forward

Otto Porter (WAS): $6,300 vs ORL
I’m going back to attack this Orlando-Washington game. Like Beal, Porter should get a huge boost in this game due to pace. Porter is cheaper so I tend to like him more over Beal if I had to choose between the two. Porter struggled a bit in yesterday’s game, snagging just four rebounds. I definitely think that is something he won’t repeat, considering he’s averaging 8.1 rebounds per game.

Jeff Green (ORL): $3,800 @ WAS
Green doesn’t often do much on the basketball court anymore, but has seen consistent minutes over the past four games, averaging 26 minutes in that span. He’s still averaging under 20 fantasy points per game in that span, but has put up 21.5 and 25.7 over his past two. At his minuscule price tag, he could easily exceed value while helping you save a ton of cap space tonight.

Also Consider:

P.J. Tucker (PHO): $4,200
Andrew Wiggins (MIN): $5,900

Power Forward

Kristaps Porzingis (NY): $7,600 @ MIA
It’s clear that Porzingis is the real deal this year. Outside of Hassan Whiteside, there’s no one who really scares me in this matchup against. Miami has been really hindered by injuries this year. Porzingis is coming off of a double-double against Sacramento in his last time out. He’s also seen 12 straight games of 30 or more minutes, so he is a consistent contributor.

Serge Ibaka (ORL): $6,500 @ WAS
I’m going back one more time to this game. There just really is a lot of potential here between the two teams. Ibaka has had an up and down season, but is coming off a 48 fantasy point game against Detroit. Washington’s plays a little faster than Detroit, so Ibaka could be in line for another big fantasy night. The Wizards also have a worse defensive efficiency number compared to Detroit.

Also Consider:

Taj Gibson (CHI): $5,900
Tobias Harris (DET): $5,600

Center

Hassan Whiteside (MIA) : $9,100 vs NY
The decision today is Towns or Whiteside. With Towns, you pay a little more of a price tag against a very tough team. Whiteside is in a clearly better matchup against the Knicks, who rank near the bottom in defensive efficiency. In three of his past four games, Whiteside has also reached the 50 fantasy point benchmark. At the end of the day, it’s the weak opposing New York defense which makes Whiteside so appealing tonight.

Also Consider:

Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN): $9,300
Marc Gasol (MEM): $7,500
