Wayne Ellington has been taking advantage of all the extra minutes he has seen lately
With a pretty large slate upon us, it’s time to take a look at some value plays on FanDuel. Obviously, as the day progresses, keep an eye on who might be out, which could give some opportunity to another teammate. Enough of the jibber-jabber, let’s get on to the values here.
Turn $25 into $40,000 in FanDuel’s NBA Slam 
Point Guard
Jamal Murray (DEN): $3,900 @ BKN
Murray broke out last game against the 76ers on Monday. He put up 22 points and played 24 minutes. In comparison, the starter, Emmanuel Mudiay, only put up four points in 21 minutes of work. I’m not ready to hand the torch over to Murray, but this is an intriguing trend. Brooklyn is a pretty weak defense just like the 76ers, so I do see potential in this matchup. It’s still a big risk, but he could easily exceed his value at that low, low price tag.

Shooting Guard
Wayne Ellington (MIA): $4,300 @ ATL
If you’ve followed my work over the past week, you know I absolutely love to play Miami guys right now, just because there have been so many injuries. The Heat only played nine guys last night, including just four minutes from Udonis Haslem. Ellington saw 33 minutes while scoring 14 points. He didn’t do much in the other categories, which limited his DFS output last night. Although Atlanta is an extremely good defense, Ellington should still see enough time to exceed his value tonight.

Small Forward
Sam Dekker (HOU): $3,800 vs LAL
Dekker is coming off of a bad game against Boston, due to just playing 18 minutes. This play does come with risk, but I’m banking on the Rockets giving Dekker more minutes in garbage time. It’s a crowded front court with Corey Brewer and Montrezl Harrell in the mix, but if this game gets out of hand, Dekker could get back in the mix. Dekker’s minutes was also hindered by Patrick Beverly seeing 32 minutes. I really don’t see that repeating in this game, as Beverly was relied upon in the last game to defend Isaiah Thomas.

Aaron Gordon (ORL): $4,000
Power Forward
Dwight Powell (DAL): $3,900 vs SAC
With Andrew Bogut sidelined, Powell is in line for big minutes until further notice. Powell has now seen an average of 30 minutes over his past two games. Powell has put up double digits in scoring in both of those games, while snagging 7.5 rebounds per game. Sacramento is ranked 21st in rebound rate this season, so Powell could increase those rebound numbers.

Ed Davis (POR): $3,600
Center
John Henson (MIL): $4,700 vs POR
Henson has really taken over the starting role for the Bucks now. His price tag is still a little lower than where it should be, so it’s a perfect time to jump on him. Portland isn’t a tough defense at all, sporting the lowest defensive efficiency in all of the NBA. Despite his low price tag, you might be able to get a low ownership on Henson, considering he’s coming off of a game where he only put up an eight point and five rebound game.
