Point Guard
D.J. Augustin (ORL) $4,000 @ PHI
At only 4k, Augustin doesn’t have to do much to hit value. As long as he continues to start and see 25-plus minutes he should be able to score around 20 FanDuel points, which is all you need from a guy this cheap. He gets a plus matchup with the Sixers tonight and should have no problem hitting 20 or more.
Shooting Guard
Lou Williams (LAL) $5,200 @TOR
Willaims returns to Toronto where he was a key cog in their playoff runs a few years ago. He actually won the Sixth Man of the Year award as a member of the Raptors. This isn’t his first trip since leaving to go to L.A., but last year’s visit didn’t go so well for him. With all the injuries the Lakers have endured, they need Williams to step up offensively if the Lakers hope to pull this game out. I expect him to have a much better game this year against his former team.
Small Forward
Brandon Ingram (LAL) $4,000 @ TOR
Ingram has been thrust into the starting lineup with Nick Young out at least a few more games. Ingram has been solid in the minutes he has been given, and while he doesn’t have a ton of upside, at 4k he only needs to get you 20 FD points to hit value.
Power Forward
Ersan Ilyasova (PHI) $4,600 vs ORL
Like Lou Williams, Ilyasova is returning to play his former team. I won’t put too much into that narrative because I don’t think he ever truly fit in with the Magic in his short stint there. He can be a little streaky, as most shooters are, but this is a good matchup for him and his price tag is cheap enough that he won’t hurt your salary cap to roster him.
Center
Robin Lopez (CHI) $5,300 vs CLE
Still one of my favorite value plays of late. He has one dud over his last four games, a 17.5 point outing against the Sixers, but has been over 30 in the others. His price has come up some, but not enough that I won’t play him.
